1. The paper review process is based on the online submission and peer review system.

2. Once a manuscript is submitted, it is assigned to an editor who is the most appropriate for the subject of the manuscript. If the editor deems that the manuscript is not of sufficient quality to be passed on to the normal review process or if the subject of the manuscript is not appropriate for the journal scope, then the editor rejects the manuscript without further processing. If the editor deems that the submitted manuscript is of sufficient quality and is within the scope of the journal, then he/she assigns the manuscript to two reviewers for peer review. The reviewers are selected based on their research area and specialization.

3. The goal of these regulations is to regulate the review method of articles submitted to the Journal of The Korean Society for Clothing Industry.

4. Reviewers shall be appointed via recommendation from the Editing Committee.

5. Submissions are peer reviewed by at least two reviewers and the Editing Committee provides the final decision regarding publication. An article may be published if at least two reviewers regard it as ¡°publish as it is.¡± Articles may not be published if two or more reviewers regard it as ¡°reject.¡±

6. Review results are categorized into ¡°publish as it is,¡± ¡°publish after minor revision,¡± ¡°further review after major revisions,¡± or ¡°reject.¡±

7. When an article is regarded as ¡°publish as it is¡± with minor revision requests, then the author shall provide the revisions and have them approved by the editor, who is a member of the Editing Committee, or a reviewer.

8. When the content of the article belongs to one of the following categories, the reviewers shall highlight the mistake and reject it for publication.
A. An article that has already been published.
B. An article that not original but similar to an article that has already been published.
C. The manuscript violates the regulations of the Research Ethics of the Society of Fashion & Textile Industry.

9. If an article is rejected because of plagiarism or any other reason after being regarded as ¡°publish as it is,¡± then the review result may be changed to ¡°reject¡± by the Editing Committee, regardless of the original review results.

10. The reviewers and edited contents remain confidential.

11. Reviewers must return a review report and the manuscript to the society within 15 days of appointment.

12. If a reviewer fails to return a review report within 30 days of appointment, then the appointment may be canceled.

13. Provided that the Editing Committee does not state a specific reason, articles that have been submitted more than 1 year ago shall be subjected to the publication process provided that revisions are provided within six months. Articles that are received after six months without a specific reason shall be considered as a new submission and reported as such to the author.

14. Areas not stated in these regulations shall be managed by the Editor in accordance with the conventional customs and reported to the Editing Committee (Edited from the Guideline for Authors).
